Modern Boho Nursery Reveal

I love a good big reveal!! Piper’s nursery was a labor (get it?!) of love. You can see what we started with here. I repaired and painted all the trim, repaired the damaged walls, and painted a new, fresher beige. Dustin updated all the outlets and vents (SUCH a big impact for very little cost!). The trickiest thing with finishing the nursery up was waiting on the carpet. When I wrote the first post, we had already been delayed once. Turns out we continued to get delayed with the carpet installation until the week before she was born. So I wasn’t able to get it put together and nest and that was slightly stressful for me. But, it came together just in time and I am thrilled with how it turned out!

We achieved our goal of a neutral nursery with some girly vibes brought in through texture and pattern. Very classic, with touches of feminine.

We have arrows above the doorframe in each kid’s room (well, just Piper and e2 so far, but I am collecting for the others). It reminds me that we are raising arrows to be released into the world. It is such a calling to raise kids, often thankless and exhausting, but SO worth it.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! Psalm 127:3-5a

What do you think? Worth the wait? I can tell you it makes me so happy every time I am in her room. Investing in a nursery is so worth it! You spend so much time in there so it is nice to have a beautiful environment. It really is more for the parents in the beginning 😉
