New Hampshire Home Transformation: Before and After

Since Dustin’s home is so close to being on the market, it had me thinking a lot about my old home in New Hampshire. We lived there for three years and did a lot of work to the home, so I thought it would be fun to do a comparison of the house when we bought it and the pictures when we sold it! The house was staged too, so not exactly how I had it styled or my furniture layout. Also these are realtor pictures, not blog worthy pictures, but it still captures the home transformation.

Here we go!

Before

Full disclosure- when we purchased the house, there were renters in it after these listing pictures. So a few more “updates” were done, like paint and a few fixtures, but I can’t find those pictures anywhere. But the house was still generally in dire need of some freshening up!

The exterior was in great condition, just blah landscaping
The layout sold us, but the paint… the paint.
The office. Yikes.
Spacious layout, just very 20 year old builder basic.
The wood on wood on tan just felt very… warm.
A ton of space to work with!
Plain, plain, and linoleum.
More tan.
This area sold us. The three season room was one of the most used rooms in the house!
When we purchased the house this room had been painted white, thankfully.
Formal living room
Family room (kitchen to the right)
Awesome grand open foyer
The master was HUGE but not a great use of space
Tan. Lots of tan.
This was the empty room next to the master. The listing suggested we could use this as an upstairs office, exercise room, or nursery. (But you all know what this became… CLOSET).
Again, lots of space., but wasted space.
What would become Levi’s bedroom
Scarlett’s bedroom
Eloise’s room

And The After

Are you ready?

I don’t think you are.

We removed the rocks in the beds, did all new landscaping, & painted the front door (black tied into the shutters so much better than white). Also, the mulch was a dark brown, the edit makes it look red.
Can you even believe how much of a difference paint makes?! And simply changing out the doorknobs and hinges?
